Leaders of the liberal parties of Moldovan opposition renounced the earlier reached agreements with the authorities to stop the violence

The leader of the Liberal Party of Moldova, Dorin Chirtoaca, renounced the earlier reached agreements with the authorities to stop the disorders and to re-count the votes following the Sunday parliamentary elections.

After the joint press conference with the Speaker of Parliament, Marian Lupu, where it was declared about the agreement to end the violence, he came out to his supporters and called upon them not to leave from the central square of Chisinau unless the early elections shall be announced.

The leader of the Liberal democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Filat, also stated that he renounce from the agreement reached.

The disorders organized in the capital city of Moldova were condemned by the European Union, Council of Europe and OSCE Mission in Moldova.

"Some ones may be dissatisfied by results, but to accept the defeat - this is the part of democratic process. As to particular declarations about infringements, they have to be dealt with in the court, not on the street", noted the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Terry Davis, in his statement, adding, that the Council of Europe does not doubt the results of the last parliamentary elections in Moldova and condemns the provoked disorders.
